The Legal Business in the USA: Management of a Law FirmProfessional Development Program was designed by the Silicon Valley universities and legal schools professors along with their partners from American and Russian law firms. It was specifically developed to meet the demands of the growing legal services market and aimed at compensating the lack of information and experience in of management and marketing for f the growing legal business of post-Soviet countries. The professional development program is the only law firm management course in the USA held in Russian that awards its participants an American law school diploma.
Lectures for the course have been delivered by managing partners and lawyers from leading USA and international law firms, such as Hopkins@Carley, BerlinerCohen, Greenberg Traurig, SiliconValleyLawGroup.
The traineeship has had several modules: lectures and master classes on law firm management, visits to law firm offices, a case study from American colleagues on the methods and practicalities of solving the issues upon a client’s request in various areas of law practice. The core modules of the traineeship have considered a partnership in law firms, organizational structures of law firms, grading systems for lawyers, legal services pricing and billing.
Upon completion of the traineeship, the participants have been awarded Lincoln Law School certificates.
